Responsibilities: 1.Inspect and monitor equipment, work areas, facilities and work practices and procedures for compliance with established workplace environmental health and safety rules, regulations and policies and prepare records and reports of findings. 2.Maintain database of laws, regulations, proposed legislation, and consensus standards concerned with workplace environmental health and safety; analyze impact of new regulations and communicate changes. 3.Investigate injuries and illnesses associated with the workplace, preparing photographs and other recording methods to document hazards, as necessary, and prepare reports and recommendations of investigation results. 4.Coordinate and/or provide safety training on appropriate health and safety matters as assigned and as required by law. 5.Operate, maintain and calibrate environmental health and safety monitoring and testing equipment. 6.Conduct surveys of facilities and operations to identify potential hazardous conditions and safety hazards with equipment, materials, apparatus, wiring, structures, vehicles, grounds and other outdoor activities and maintain records of survey results. 7.Review contract documents, building plans and blueprints to assure appropriate health and safety codes are included and meet with contractors to establish safety policies/procedures as required. 8.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of contemporary environmental health and safety issues. 9.Select, train, and supervise staff and/or students as assigned. 10.Serve on safety committees/councils as requested. 11.Participate in institutional professional development and training. 12.Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualification and/or experience required: 1. 1.Bachelor’s degree in environmental health and safety or related discipline and one year of related experience in environmental health and safety or related field. 2.Effective oral and written communications skills to interact and communicate environmental health and safety procedures to faculty, staff, and students. 3.Ability to work effectively with managers, supervisors, and employees under stressful conditions. 4.Ability to respond promptly in-person to all campus locations requiring environmental health and safety services. 5.Ability to wear and use appropriate protective equipment as necessary. 6.Sufficient strength and physical dexterity to perform duties and responsibilities of program. 7.Knowledge of laws concerning workplace environmental safety.

Qualifications & experience
Education: A bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, or a related field is typically required. Professional certifications (SMKP & Audit) are highly desirable.
Experience: Previous experience in health, safety, and environmental management, typically 3-5 years, with a proven track record of implementing safety programs.
Knowledge of Regulations: Strong understanding of local, national, and international health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.

Tasks & responsibilities
Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate risks. Regularly review and update risk assessments.
Policy Development: Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Training & Education: Design and deliver health and safety training programs for employees at all levels, ensuring they understand safety protocols and best practices.
Compliance Monitoring: Monitor compliance with HSE regulations and standards, ensuring that the organization adheres to all legal and regulatory requirements.
Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Environmental Management: Implement and monitor environmental management practices to reduce the organization’s environmental footprint and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
Reporting: Prepare and maintain HSE reports, documentation, and records, including incident reports, safety audits, and training records. Present findings to management and recommend improvements.
Emergency Preparedness: Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures. Conduct drills and training sessions to ensure staff are prepared for emergencies.
Collaboration: Work closely with management, employees, and external agencies to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within the organization.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and changes in regulations related to health, safety, and the environment. Recommend improvements to HSE practices and programs.

Job Description:
We are seeking two qualified Safety Management Officers to join our Engineering Department in Jakarta. The ideal candidates will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of safety management requirements in accordance with company and Indonesian local regulations.
Responsibilities:
Identify and evaluate potential hazards in the workplace, and develop hazard identification and risk assessment checklists.
Establish and maintain safety supervision checklists for high-risk projects.
Organize and participate in safety inspections, including fire safety and occupational health.
Monitor and ensure the implementation of safety rectification measures.
Participate in safety acceptance inspections for high-risk projects.
Supervise the development of emergency response plans for production safety incidents.
Organize and participate in emergency drills.
Report production safety incidents accurately and timely.
Participate in accident emergency response, investigation, and interviews.
Collect and analyze accident closure data, and establish accident files.
Organize and conduct environmental factor identification and evaluation activities.
Develop environmental factor identification and evaluation checklists.
Develop important environmental factor and control checklists.
Organize and conduct annual environmental management responsibility assessments.
Develop project environmental management plans for new projects.
Identify annual training needs and submit to the company.
Develop environmental protection cost investment scopes.
Develop annual environmental protection cost investment plans.
Report significant environmental incidents within 2 hours to superiors.
Report major environmental incidents within 48 hours to the Engineering Bureau.
Report critical environmental incidents within 24 hours to the Engineering Bureau.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Safety Management.
3-5 years of experience in construction safety management.
Fluent in English or Mandarin Chinese.
Familiarity with Indonesian construction safety regulations.
HSE certifications are preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Integrity and a strong sense of responsibility.
