Job Overview:
Develop and administer plant Occupational Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) programs in accordance with regulatory requirements and Amcor policies and standards. Foster awareness, engagement and accountability for EHS initiatives. Direct plant EHS activities to prevent injuries and assure good standing with regulatory requirements. This includes, but is not limited to reports, assessments, investigations, audits and program implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain expertise in EHS requirements (legal and Amcor).
Support day-to-day operations related to EHS aspects (e.g., injury prevention and compliance).
Assure and implement EHS requirements (regulatory and Amcor) are understood and met at the site/plant.
Assure and implement effective site safety/injury prevention plans are properly supported and executed.
Assure and implement effective site compliance plans are properly supported and executed.
Train site personnel to satisfy regulatory and Amcor EHS requirements.
Maintain site safety records per applicable regulatory standards.
Conduct regular internal assessments to ensure adherence to Amcor, BG, and site expectations.
Assure and implement compliance audit action planning and timely closure of action plans.
Chair or co-chair site/plant EHS/Safety Committee.
Interact with agencies as necessary and liaise with Business/Region/Limited/Legal.
Compile and maintain EHS records as required by pertinent legal requirements.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of incidents and metrics per Amcor standard.
Maintain routine relationships with site/plant managers, Engineering, HR, and other stakeholders.
Job Specification:
Bachelor Degree in EHS, Industrial Hygiene, engineering or similar is required and advanced degree would be preferred.
Certified for Indonesian Safety Officer, Environment Officer, etc.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in environmental, health, and safety in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the plastics industry
Experience implementing critical safe work programs and practices (Fire safety, LOTO, machine guarding, confined space entry, work at heights, electrical works, contractor managments, etc).
Proficiency in applicable EHS codes, standards, regulation, etc.
Experience interacting with EHS related regulatory agencies

Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure environmental compliance on-site with local laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Conduct regular site inspections and assessments related to waste management, dust control, noise levels, and water discharge.
- Develop and implement site-specific environmental control measures and mitigation plans.
- Monitor and manage construction activities to minimize environmental impact.
- Maintain records and reports of environmental performance and incidents.
- Provide training and awareness programs to workers and subcontractors on environmental responsibilities.
